Add a sub-user (guest)

info

This guide explains how to add a sub-user (guest) to your game server from the CloudFive panel, powered by Pterodactyl.

A sub-user lets you give another person access to your server (console, files, database, restart, etc.) — for example a co-manager or a developer — without sharing your main credentials.

1. Access your server

Log in to your CloudFive panel:

Select the game server in question.

2. Open the Users tab

In the left-hand menu, go to the Users tab.

3. Add a new user

Click the "New User" button (or "+").

Enter the email address of the person to invite.

tip

If this person doesn't have a panel account yet, an invitation email will automatically be sent to them so they can create their password (see the Access the panel guide).

4. Set permissions

Select the permissions to grant to this sub-user from the available categories, for example:

  • 🖥️ Console: read access, sending commands
  • 📁 Files: read, write, delete, upload
  • 🗄️ Database: create, delete, view credentials
  • 🔁 Server management: restart, stop, start
  • Scheduled tasks, Backups, Network, etc.
warning

Only grant the necessary permissions. A sub-user with too many rights could modify or delete critical parts of your server.

5. Save

Click "Save" (or "Create") to confirm adding the sub-user.

They will now appear in the list of users with access to the server, and you can edit their permissions or remove them at any time.

success

🎉 Your guest now has access to your server with the permissions you defined.

Common issues

danger

The invited user isn't receiving an email

Check the following:

  • The email address entered is correct.
  • The Spam / Junk folders have been checked.
  • If an account already exists with this address, the user simply needs to log in with their existing account: they'll automatically have access to the server.
